He was placed on blood thinners but he couldn't start this medication because the creatinine was too low. We had to wait until the count had gone back up a bit. The MO told us that it wasn't the chemo that caused the blood clots but the fact that he had cancer. She assured us that there was no point in getting the third dose. John was in really bad shape at that point due to the chemo so it was actually a relief not to have to go for the third dose.

Taxol/carboplatin July/14. Esophagus re-opened Oct 14. PEG out April 8, 2015. Phase 2 trial of Selinexor April to July 2015. At peace Jan 15, 2016. |
