I had (and have) a world class caregiver - my wife. Trust me when I say that if she would post, many of you would re-evaluate your concept of a difficult or frustrating cancer patient. wink
I just saw this 2 Reader's Digest articles on caregivers and thought you may find them interesting. They are not cancer specific but seem relevant.
I can't emphasize enough tip #10 in this one.
RD 10 tips
Numbers 1 & 2 struck me on this article
6 things cg wish they had known
Neither of these articles are as good as the advice given out here daily, but maybe one of you will write an article for Reader's Digest on Cancer Caregivers.

Thanks Charm. Number 9 would have to be my favourite on the top 10 tips.

I agree with you on what you said about the advice given here daily from caregivers. These guys on here were my saving grace many times.

Ah yes, Tip #9:
[quote]9. Focus on quality of life. Caregiving can be very trying at times so be sure to keep a positive attitude and sense of humor. Plan some activities for both of you to participate in together. This allows for you to connect with each other outside of the caregiving role.

An excellent choice.
