I forgot to ask them today and now that it's getting real hot and sunny here... When he's feeling well he likes to work in the back yard and several of his work projects with our commercial property are outside.
Thanks!

I was also instructed to wear plenty of sunscreen all over as well as a hat. hope this helps.

I also ride my bike 100+ miles a week and I never use a sun screen, well almost never, and I never had one problem with my skin during or post Tx.

I would guess that skin that has been exposed to radiation would be likely to burn (but I'm not a doctor).
David, what in the world are you thinking?? You should wear sunscreen ... especially in Florida!

He said anytime I plan on being outside this summer I must wear sunscreen.

Dan has always used sunscreen when we're out at the pool or on the lake or working outside - so we won't let that slip. I just thought I remembered someone saying it was very painful for the sun to hit your radiated area and I didn't know if that was something I needed to prepare him for or figure out a "protector" for him to wear.

One is Sunbrella which has a full line of clothing and other items for adults and children. I have bought hats and shirts that have high SPF ratings at sporting goods stores. Sunscreen has to be used carefully.

I am on my bike at the first hint of daylight, usually riding the first 10 miles with my lights on. I am finished by 10 am most days and rarely stay out till noon. It is on those pre planned long rides of 50 to 60 miles that I do put a waterproof exercise sunscreen on. My helmet also has a small visor and I wear sunprotected glasses so I am conscience of the harmful affects of the sun but I mostly try to avoid the high sun and traffic and increased wind, none of which turns a 50 mile trek into a fun event.
