I have already adopted a One Day At A Time approach to dealing with this whole revolting situation I find myself in. I tell myself "I only have to get through today and the day will come when I notice I feel a bit better."
I don't worry about tomorrow. I don't worry about how badly my throat is going to hurt after 20 or 25 rads. I don't have to worry about those things. I only have to get through today.
Plus, I begin each day by blasting Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild." I find it gets my day off on the right foot. Since I am an early riser and my wife is not, she is somewhat less appreciative of the wisdom and motivational force that can be found in that song.

Good luck.

It helps immensely to be focused on the now and put your energy dealing with the challenges that face you today. That is a huge task and only becomes compromised when one gets distracted thinking about the universe of what could be or the I coulda woulda shoulda black hole.
Stay focused and you will be on the other side in no time.

Worrying will not ever be a helpful tool to get you thru anything.
What you have described above is not an easy accomplishment. Most patients are very apprehensive and worry constantly. Being able to take a step back and see the big picture is not easy to do. Im glad you are able to avoid all the stress worrying brings with it. Stress is not healthy for anyone.
Best wishes with your treatments.
