Caregiver to husband 40 yrs. Was diagnosed SCC 09/2010. Soft palate, lft of tounge. Stage 4 HPV-
Radiation 70 gy & chemo start Nov 1 End Dec 17/2010.
1MRI-7 Mar 2011. Neck dissection-14 apr 2011. Lymph nodes removed 36 just 1 had cancer. F/U CT Scan-19 may 2011. "Cancer Free" as per doctors!

David R. 65 yr old male non-smoker, light drinker, stage 3 or 4, depending on which doc you ask, scc rt. tonsil, 2 nodes, 7 weeks radiation and chemo. No surgery. Teatment ended 3/20/08. PET scan 8/08 showed no cancer.
And now, as of oct, 2010, caregiver to wife, Linda, with breast cancer.
May, 2013, Linda diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Enuf already.

The Qld stands for Queensland a state of Australia  They capital city of Qld is Brisbane where Dave P is from Many times I have had to go to a list to work out your abbreviations in the US. History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family

I had a ND during surgery and the nodes came up clean. They're doing the same process again it seems. They're saying that since i'm young, they want to be aggressive in the treatment. And the first cancer was HPV negative. Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

My husband was from Brizzy and I've been there quite a few times, actually we were married in Caboolture! (His mates moved back to Brizzy a few years back, as they learned there ain't no money in Rock'n'roll, and got real jobs!)

SCC left lateral tongue, left neck dissection. 2 nodes positive. 3 All Clear then ITS BACK 8/23/11 Shows 1cm in tongue in CT SCAN, Radial Free Arm Flap with Radical Neck Dissection 9/20/11 , All Nodes Negative, But Tongue Tumor Poorly Differentiated. Awaiting next step in treatment on 10/5/11... RIP Nate 7/28/12
