I just checking to see if anyone has gone through this. I to the point were salt, ketchup, ranch dressing, and many other foods. When I eat it almost kills my tongue and mouth. I getting to the point were I do not want to eat again. I do not know if I am having a 2nd fight with thrush. Can anyone give me any pointers on this.

A fellow Las Vegan! Nice to meet you. Have you seen your doc about this? I'm sure that he or she could answer your question about thrush. When I was about 30-45 days post tx, I had mouth/tongue pain that was excruciating. I told my docs that it was "like having a mouth full of bees". I was given viscous lidocaine to use until it passed. It was a pain to keep using it every few hours and it tasted kinda yukky, but it did help me through that period. Might be worth asking about.

How many dental implants? Forgive me for being so bold but aren't they very costly?

I had 6 implants placed and they are doing great. It was a long fight with my medical insurance. They were happy to pay to have the teeth removed before treatment. But they would not pay to replace them. My company is self insured and it took them to rewrite the contract to get it done. If I had to pay for it, I would still be with out back teeth. I know just placing the teeth was 7k and the implants were close to 10k or more.
