Ok, so H is 5 weeks into chemo/ Erbitux and radiation, and one of my boys finally got the cold/cough thing that is going around. My son is 5, and NOT great at covering his mouth all the time. Do I need to send H or my son away to a different house (we have a few places, like H's mom's that would work). Or is it ok if H just is really careful, and I try to have my little guy be careful too? H's blood levels have all been fine. | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 216 Gold Member (200+ posts) | Gold Member (200+ posts) Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 216 | Just went through the same thing - we have two grandkids that live with us, 7 & 4, both did the whole uri thing and they aren't good at covering either tho are better at covering now that we explained it could hurt grandpa worse to get sick. I encouraged lots of handwashing and germ-x which they think is cool. We got thru it without sending them anywhere. H didn't get sick. Believe me, I understand your concern.....my first few posts here were about whether we would have to send the kids away to get thru h's tx. I also became a clean fanatic with lysol and the wipes for hard surfaces. Good luck!
