I am the daughter of an oral cancer patient. She is battling right now. I joined to try and gather strength from everyone here. I wish that no one had to go through this, but that just wouldnt be reality. I feel at my wits end most days and hope that i can muster the strength to be there for my mom!

It is a tough job to not be the patient as all of the Caregivers and family members will tell you so don't discount yourself for how you feel. Tell us more about your mom and tell us what is frustrating to you. This site is here to help all associated with this cancer.

I think you stated your feelings very well and let us know just how worried you are for your MOM.. Just be there for her as much as you can andget the rst of the family to do the same but don't croud her too much. You all have to learn to cope with this nasty disease and get the game plans from her Drs. Laern as much as you can, but be there. Good luck and you all are in our prayers.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
--- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here
