Hi there. I'm a public radio reporter working on a program about HPV. Specifically, I'm trying to help people understand the connection with HPV and cancer, and that it can affect men as well as women.

I'm trying to find a male patient with HPV-related oral cancer, preferably a younger male in or near the Midwest, to interview about the disease. I'm in Lincoln, Nebraska, but willing to drive to interview you, hoping to do this within the next couple weeks.

If anyone is interested or has ideas, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks.

If you have not figured out how to do a search of the poster database, please contact me and I will help you. It is not a perfect system but might identify someone not currently posting that you could email.

Many radio interviews are done over the phone and with today's technology video conferencing is also possible. But, you are a public radio reporter; hence, the video is not needed. You cannot get a bigger spokesperson or a more outspoken individual then our dear friend David. He knows what caused his cancer, did the research, helped many people and has been a 2 year survivor with many more years to come. David is an OC/HPV advocate. And as they say, "60 is the new 30!!" Sorry David, had to throw that in...LOL

I had the HPV type too but was told that mine is a unique cancer. I guess unique is the polite word for it. I am from Ohio and sure no young guy.Good luck and hope you get a good story.

Christine,

I appreciate your remarks but Brian by far knows more about HPV and OC than I will ever know. If anyone of us should be on that film I would want Brian representing this site.

Maybe I should rephrase my post.

Of course Brian is the best person on this subject. He is also very very busy. I would never in any way discredit how much he knows on this subject. Brian would of course be the first and best choice in representing OC and HPV.

There are other members including David who know a significant amount about OC and the HPV link which would be very good choices.
