The best part of it is that I never thought I would see this birthday back in 2003. I feel like a young man turning 21 (who hasn't had a drink of water for 20 years or so) I am so excited. I will certainly think of each and every one of you on my birthday. May you continue to live life large!

I turn 50 this year as well, and I must admit, last year, in thinking about turning 50, I was not looking forward to it. One day a couple of weeks ago, the subject of birthdays came up by one of the nurses when my husband was having chemo. I kind of automatically said "I'm not looking forward to turning 50 this year," and as soon as I said it, I changed my mind. I now welcome it and however many more I am given.
Enjoy your birthday!

I turned 55 two weeks after diagnosis, and didn't anticipate celebrating my 57th (as I did last September) We had gotten into the habit of merely observing birthdays around my house, but now we truly CELEBRATE them.
Celebrate!! You deserve it. Here's hoping for many more.
Good Health

Have a great day, great year and a great life. I know the feeling. I turned 60 last August and the previous April, I too, wondered if it would happen.
60 isn't bad...you'll find out in 10 years!!!!
