I am still learning to eat again, but the antidepressant is causing a loss of appetite making me not want to eat. I don't want to stop taking the antidepressant because I need to get out of this "funk"! However, I need to eat as well. Has anyone else been through this? If so, what was done? Is there an appetite stimulate that my doc can prescribe?

I still drank CIB VHC each day for well over a year post Tx just to make sure I was getting enough calories and nutrition as eating was just not enjoyable. I still have cans in the refrig just in case. Even though you don't feel like eating, drinking a can of the VHC gives you 560 calories packed with everything and it only takes a few seconds to down it.
As far as being depressed, that's not uncommon at all post Tx but you need to just tell yourself that your normal to feel this way and things will definitely get better and better over the next year or so and be pleased with where you are recovery wise and being alive wise I might add.

It is a cannabis derivative. Ask your doc! Kevin 18 YEAR SURVIVOR SCC Tongue (T3N0M0) diag 06/2006. No evidence of disease 2010 Another PET 12-2014 pre-HBO, still N.E.D.

There may be one in the same group of meds that increase appetite. I was taking Paxil for awhile which increased appetite but when I put on too much weight my doc switched me to Celexa which causes loss of appetite.
Just a thought, Billy
