Hi everyone,

My husband went in for his PET/CT scan which would be followed by an appointment Tuesday afternoon with his radiation oncologist (Dr. Hay - BC Cancer Agency). We were told the results would be given to us at Tuesday's appointment but he called early this evening to tell us the results are normal.

We made it to Thanksgiving dinner (Canadian)over the weekend and met up with a family friend who happened to have helped write the treatment protocol that my husband underwent. When asked why the doctors tell you there's a 50/50 chance of successfully beating the cancer he said that the doctors had to tell you the facts and prepare the family and patient for the struggle ahead.

I just wanted to thank everyone on this board once again for all your help, support and kind words through the last few months. Sometimes even family didn't understand what we were experiencing all at once but you guys were able to provide some perspective on the insanity.

Thanks again,

Elaine
