Thanks everyone. I had the swallow test today and it showed just a little leakage. Also, I just had a chest x-ray and it appeared clear. I get a PET in a couple of weeks, so I guess I'll find out.

Anyway, it's great to read that other folks have been down this road. I'll try not to panic.

Clint, Great news on chest x-ray. Hopefully it can put you a little at ease awaiting your pending pet-scan. Best of luck.
Always, Mark.

Got my PET yesterday. I saw my RO today. He gave it a quick look and said it's clear. I'll get the official report Monday, but it sounds good.

Thanks for the support!

teamshrink,

Seriously??? No big deal with getting the PEG removed? That is great.
My husband's doctor said they just pull it out and that it would hurt quite a bit, but not for too long.
My husband just finished his 9th radiation therapy treatment and has completed 2 chemo treatments so far. He is doing well. Still eating. He is getting cisplatin weekly.

Vicki,

Be prepared as he is about to enter the period of time where most of us started to notice the side effects. Stock up on liquid foods, like VHC and try to stay on top of all his medical issues. Make sure he drinks his daily water to stay hydrated. The war is about to begin. I hope he is spared but chances are he won't be.

Vicki,

Seriously. In fact, I was asking if it was going to hurt just she took it out, showed to me,and said "you tell me." Taking off the bandage hurt more.
