Rosie,

I like your original "From One Survivor to Another: Go, Lance, Go!"

On a yellow shirt that would be great.

There's my two cents.

You guys are getting close. The ideas and points are starting to go in one direction. Remember that while yellow is his color, it comes from the jersey that is worn each day by THAT DAY's WINNER, which could be someone besides Lance on any given day. Nevertherless, I am for yellow.
There are over 10 million cancer survivors in the US today. How about a play on that.

MAKE IT 7 LANCE!!
10 million cancer survivors are behind you.
(Just like the rest of the pack in the Tour is going to be!!!)

Pocket logo. Something small with a circle of type around it. Maybe just the word Lance with a little 7 slightly above the type at the end ( like Lance to the seventh power) Three to four word need to circle it. They need to represent his qualities. I started thinking of a list of things I think of when I think of him. He is driven to overcome adversity whatever the odds, he has the determination to dig deep and push through things like pain to achieve his goals in treatment or competition. He is focuses and trains more and harder than any other tour competitor, and this is what he credits his wins to. He inspires others by his actions. He gives back after his successes. Anyone please add more to this list if you think of things he respresents.

In my picking -strive, survive, thrive - for OCF which was discussed, I think by Rosie earlier, the order comes from my personal perspective on the process we all go through. We strive to get through the diagnosis emotionally, the treatments physically, when that passes, we survive the disease, a major accomplishment but not a return to a real life, Finally we Thrive and grow in our new lives, rather than exist as survivors. Moving the sequence around changes my perception of things. Thriving has to come last, that is where you blossom again into a full life. But you can't do that if #2 two isn't survive.

Think about lance in these terms...this isn't it, but I hope this makes the creative juices flow. He Survives, he Rides, He Thrives. That isn't it.... Help me here!!!!

As a fall back I too like something on the one survivor to another theme

For the pocket logo, how about:

Outlast, Outsmart, Outlive?
Or Outlast, Outride, Outlive?

Strive to Survive to Ride?

Body of shirt:

10 Million Strong & Growing
Cancer Survivors 4 Lance
We're Behind U All the Way

Do a play on the thing they do with the list of what it cost for stuff. use what it might cost for this race, such as price of bike, etc., I don't know what is needed for that type of a race.

Bike $300
Personal Trainer $250
***********$100
Beating Cancer.........PRICELESS!

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.

Ok try these

In the race for life
We all were Yellow

We LiveStrong like Armstrong
Cancer Survivor (make this a yellow shirt and make a bike out of the circles in the "o" and "g" in both strongs)

A Second Chance to Dance the Dance
Go Lance!

Ok that is all I can think of tonight. I am exhausted.

I'm with Barb. I still like Rosie's original suggestion of "From One Survivor to Another: Go, Lance, Go!" on a yellow T shirt.

I had one additonal thought after I posted that. If we go with that, we limit our market to survivors. Do we want to do that?
