Talk to your RO or MO about it. Are you getting adjunctive chemo too? If not then it might be anxiety. I took anti-anxiety meds and it sure helped me to be "normal" for the first couple of weeks.

I did have flu symptoms upon starting rad. maybe it's that. I am on anxiety meds and don't feel too anxious. I was very anxious before. It does not seem as scary any more.

Dizziness/Nausea (no vomiting), fullness in throat are worse. Had trouble getting up. Did not feel like eating. Much worse than yesterday. I am not getting chemo.
Ear not equalizing on the Tx side. I wonder if that's related. Since Rad Doc feels it's not from Rad Tx, will see another Doc tomorrow.
I wish someone would prescribe something
Tongue is becoming sensitive with white covered sores? canker sores? on the sides.

Do they have you on any antibiotics? I'm not a doc, but it sure sounds like you might have an infection. Hope you get the help that you need. Take care.

I managed to see a doc (pa) today finally. Prescribed zofran and something else for dizziness. She thinks it IS from radiation and that the ear drum does not look normal and that it can cause nausea. I can feel it does not equalize. They have tubes they can insert into ears but typically do it after Rad.
Is it weird that the Rad Doc would not prescribe anything or is it typical?

They are MUCH more familiar with the side effects and timing of them than someone outside of the specialty.
It is VERY eary for you to be having severe side effects. While the sores in the mouth aren't that unusual ( I began developing them at 5 days) the rest certainly sounds more like an infection than anything. If it's a flu, its viral, and antibiotics wouldn't help anyway.
Once you start to really feel the effects of rad, I'm afraid you won't be trying to guess what they are...they are profound, and miserable. I have never been as ill as I was during radiation.
I hope you can get feeling a bit better quickly. The radiation is tough enough without a flu or some other bug adding to it Wayne

A friend of mine had a problem with her inner ear, and it had caused nausea and dizziness both. Hope you find some relief. Take care and keep us informed of how you are doing. I agree with Wayne, treatment is tough enough without other problems to deal with.

Really fatigued, weak, scared, dizzy nauseaus; there was no one to drive me. I had thoughts of stopping the treatment completely.
I feel the Rad doc is not trying to help me and I am too weak to look for other docs, etc. The Rad doctor is doing nothing at all and telling me to see someone else. She saw me for about 20 seconds.
Is the inner/middle usually an infection. If an infection can it be treated with penicillin.
I saw a surgeon (pa) who prescribed zofran etc. I am a little better but dizziness etc is still there.
