Just had day 19 out of 35 in radio, and my radiologist's registrar was concerned about my neck. So am I of course.
Has anyone else out there had brown spots on their neck, mostly on the dissected side, gradually lessening towards the uncut side? I look like a ripening banana, especially with the lovely curved, slightly bulging scar! Are they like freckles, and will they go away?
Cheers!

I think what you are describing is like the suntan I got, which was splotchy. It eventually wore off, and probably was all gone six to nine months post rad. Kind of ironic to get a tan when you are supposed to keep your radiated parts OUT of the sun. I was really glad when my brown spots were finally gone, as I thought everyone who saw me wondered why that woman never washed her dirty neck. Just another small side effect of radiation. Hang in there! | | |
