Daniel Bogan DX 7/16/03 Right tonsil,SCC T4NOMO. right side neck disection, IMRT Radiation x 33.
Recurrance in June 05 in right tonsil area. Now receiving palliative chemo (Erbitux) starting 3/9/06

Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 1,163 | Just got back from the surgeon, He said I had a poorly defined margin and that there was two types of cancer, Basoid squamous Cell & Squamous cell. The board met to discuss my case and they all agreed I need radaition. They are planning on giving me 5000 rads. I have some cancer cells near my carotid artery and that would be the maximum rad I can receive.There were no cancer in the lymph nodes. He seemed happy with the surgery outcome but I am concerned about the tone of his delivery. Either way I see the rad on'gist this Friday.
Any suggestions on what questions I should be asking him would be appreciated. Dan
