Hi, I have had a lot of surgery in my jaw area, I have a new bar in now that has been there less than two months. I have had nerves jumping in this area thru a lot of surgerys but this time i have like a toothache feeling if i touch where the one end of the bar is connected. I asked my ENT and he said "its the bar". This will also give me electric shock type pain in the middle of the nite that will set me straight up in bed out of a sound sleep. Yesterday I traved to a funeral with my sisters, of course we talked a lot and I talked a lot all day. At one point this area that has been doing its own dance started to jump so bad it was making my head jerk, I could not talk it was so painful and strong. I had some Tylenol with Codine with me that I took and I did not talk for awhile and it settled down. I have never had this experience before, I would like to Think the stress added to the problem. Has anyone had this happen to them? Nerves jumping strong enough to wake you up?

Brian just mentioned jumping muscles in his face and neck in a message under Post Radiation Side Effects.

Hi, I have never had radiation or chemo, but 9 operations in this area of my jaw, I will not go into that but I have had a lot of " full lab workups" after operations. I like to think this is part of the healing process but it was so severe it scared me.If a person had nerve damage I would hope it would show up right away???
