Hi Netty

Just realized today is your birthday. Hope you had a happy one. Also wondering how you are doing. Is your recovery still going well and will you be singing for Christmas? Sure hope so! smile

Wishing you a Happy Birthday and a very Merry Christmas!

Thanks Rosie!

I had a really fun birthday. It was extra special considering what I've been through the past few months. I am really thankful to be alive.

I couldn't have cake, but got to eat tons of ice cream!!!

I am going to be singing for Christmas and can hardly wait. It amazes everyone that I can still hit the high notes.

My recovery is coming along day by day. I am getting more and more energy and am at work more often. There are problems due to the blood clot I had.....they just can't seem to get the blood thinning medication to work with my system. Now there is talk that I may have to be on blood thinners for the rest of my life. I had blood drawn this morning, so the tests they run today will let me know what's up. There is also a chance that they might cut up my chin again. My fistulas aren't healing right and at the end of January they may just go and cut the excess tissue out of them. I am praying every day that they heal correctly. I do not want anyone coming near my face with a needle/knife etc.

Hope you and your family have a great holiday!!

I keep you and your daughter in my prayers.

Jeanette

I survived because I kept hope alive!!! Live, laugh, love and keep fighting hard.

It may well be the next day, but a sincere belated Happy Birthday! Your positive attitude comes through so clearly in your posts, and is so much appreciated. I wish you a year unencumbered by medical procedures, and many, many more!
