I had my Chemo Port and Peg Tube put in on Wed. No problem with the Chemo Port. But I am having a lot of pain from the Peg Tube. It is the stomach muscle that is sore. How long does this last? I was told 3 days ??? I start Chemo and Radiation on Monday and I hope this pain is a lot better.

My husband had the same surgery back in October and was very sore as well. The doctor told us that it just takes time for the muscle tissue to heal. He was sore for over a week. The good news is it will get better and now that he is well into his treatments we are very glad to have it. Hang in there and good luck with your chemo and radiation!! smile

Tammy: There are several posts regarding PEG tube placement that should be helpful to you. Buzz was one of the less-fortunate ones who ended up in the emergency room the day after placement because the pain was severe. Others here report little or no pain!

Hopefully, your pain will dissipate quickly and you won't have further problems!

Good luck to you as you begin your treatments next week! We will certainly be thinking about you and hoping for the best!
