Hello everyone, Recently a friend of the family gave us a book supposidly a cure for cancer. It is called B17 Metabolic Therapy compiled by Phillip Day. This person swears by it and my dad is talking aboutgetting it for my brother, he is going to meeting about it on Thursday. Has anyone read the book or heard this stuff. Brian have you heard of it, I had to mention it in case it is genuine and it could help people like Rosie's daughter Heather. Surely it is worth a try?

It sounds to me like a makeover of the old laetrile therapy (made from almond shells or something like that). They had quack clinics in Mexico that you could go to and people died - a lot). The FDA would never clear it in the USA and considered it a quack medication as its efficacy was never proven.

Gary has this right. Used in clinics in Mexico (and now unfortunately sold on the web to those looking for something "natural" or without other hope) that milked thousands of people for their money and had no effect on their cancers...or deaths. The FDA would never let it fly in the US because it just didn't work. Save your money on the book and on the web based businesses that sell B17. Things are only worth a try if they can demonstrate evidence of success. This technique/product does not fall into that realm.

Cazz,

Even though this stuff isn't worth trying, I do appreciate the thought. It is nice to know people are still trying to find something to help Heather. Thanks so much.

Rainbows & hugs, wink

Thanks Cazz but in the word of Kahlil Gibran "The more that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain". Ben Franklin also said, "That which hurts, instructs". As much as I would prefer not to have any pain and suffering, I know from past experience that it has always made me a stronger, better person in the end. I have a new appreciation for life that would probably been impossible any other way...
