Sorry to hear that, Jim. Is it limited to the tongue?

Bear in mind that you are in the best possible hands. You will be at the top of my prayer list.

Try your best to put down the smokes this time --it is tough, but very doable with new medications and such. I quit last February when I had the neck fusion, during which the anesthesiologist noticed "something" at the base of my tongue. The rest is history, but I do not regret quitting for one second. Anything that will help keep this darn thing at bay, I will do. Take the same approach, and you will be amazed at how easy quitting can be.

We are all hear for you, Jim.

So sorry Jim--so soon as well.
At least, as Jeff says, you're in the best hands and hopefully you'll have a Plan in just one week.
I know it's hard to take it one day at a time, but that's all you can do right now.

Know we're thinking of you

Dear Jim, I am very sorry to read your news. It is so tough for you to be coping with the prospect of another round of treatment. Brenda's advice of living one day at a time is sound. I would schedule an activity or project of some kind for every day until you see your doctor. This may give you a focus apart from your cancer. Thinking of you, lots of love from Helen

Jim, I'm so sorry you got that news. I hope you will have some family around you for Christams that will help you get your mind off it until you see the doctor.

Barb stopped by this afternoon. She said she would go with me to Columbus the 26th. THat made me feel better knowing she would be there for me. She is the main person I would want there. Not my kids but her. Now if I can convince her to marry me, it would make this OC much easier to put up with.

Jeff, Dr Ozer will give me his plan right after he finishes and I come around. I have a lot of faith in him and am sure, like you are, that he will do whatever is necessay to cure me.
