I will still receive the same burden, 39 treatments, today will be 23&24, etc. Has anyone else experienced this?

i had a kind of 2 per day for the last couple of weeks... one was the standard radiation, the second was a beam that didn't penetrate as deeply. it was use on mussle without damaging spinal cord.
are you getting 2 of the samething or do you go to 2 different machines?

That is exactly what I did beginning the 5th week of radiation...I had a session in the morning and another in the afternoon. I can't say that I miss those days.

Only 2 shots in afternoon 4 shots in morning.. My Radiation Oncologist, A female, was forced to travel to Vienna, Austria. for a symposium two weeks ago, poor thing. She had to come back with something agressive to justify the trip,,,,

I didn't know the total dose but was told that the dose of the 2 daily added was only a little bit more than the 1 alone. When there was one more week to go, my oncologist told me I would need to have six more on six days to give a final boost. No choice but I am glad I didn't argue. I always claim myself to be a very cooperative patient who has trust in the team of doctors looking after me.
