Then the dentist informed me that she had abnormal tissue around the area so he took a biopsy. Is this normal to take a biopsy out of the blue. I have never even thought about oral cancer before yesterday. And I am frightened for my daughter. | | |

It could be many things without being oral cancer. Hoping that is the case with your daughter. Kudos to her dentist for spotting it and doing the biospy right away. The sooner you know the better. "It Ain't cancer till the pathlogy report says it's cancer"
Hoping for the best for her, Danny Boy

I read your other post and you said your daughter is 15 yrs. old. That is so young!! Personally I have never heard of anyone that young getting oral cancer. There are other people on this forum who have a wealth of knowledge about oral cancer, it will be interesting to see what they have to say. Here's hoping the abnormal tissue is nothing serious. You mentioned your two other sons with medical issues. You have a lot on your plate right now. My heart goes out to you. Keep us posted OK? We care.
All the best,
Shelley
