Hi All!
I am having issues with post treatment back and neck stiffness and moderate to severe pain. I have been going to PT but my latest is they are thinking I have compression fractures in my spine and possible pinched nerves. Has anyone else had these issues? What did you do?
Thanks!
Cindy

My case is far simpler but I do have tightness and occasional cramping along the side of my neck and under my chin, places where the BOT primary and node cancers were hit the most by radiation. I also get a tightness running along the backside of my neck up behind my ear.

I just do a lot of neck and head turning and twisting and bending during the day. Whenever I feel any tightness I just start a short routine to relieve the tightness. So far this working for me.

Sorry for your issues. As far as back pain, pinched nerve, tightness, I have dealt with these in the past, actually since I was 20, including surgery, but not for compression fractures, but herniated discs, others, and would be hesitant to recommend how I was treated or did as being the same in your case. I did have PT as one type therapy, chiropractor, and after a relapse, acupuncture, which for me, at the time, was the best for pain. Maybe it would help to have a proper diagnosis for treatment. To my understanding, compression fractures could be related to osteoporosis or other conditions.

After my treatments, and significant bed rest or confinement, my back issues, shoulder, acted up. The more I was able to move around helped, including pain meds, heating pad, topical ointments, PT, whatever worked I guess, but am cautious in what I do after several surgeries to my neck, and doubt I would see a chiropractor again for any neck manipulation.

Thanks, Paul. I am trying to get a definite diagnosis so I know how to treat it or what to do. Had X-rays, PT, discussed with my local Onco and my Family doctor. Will be going back to Penn and will see if someone there can help.

Glad to hear that, at least the part about getting the doctors involved.
