Is the CT scan used with the PET scan the same as the CT you have without PET?

It is a lower dose of radiation and not intend to do anything but provide anatomical reference for comparative scans. It is not diagnostic.

Uptown is right. It's low dose. I had PET/CT, without contrast, that needed follow-up with a CT for the liver due to not being clear enough to make a diagnosis. Even with a stand alone CT, I need them without contrast, and would be better with, but everything was ok, that's all I needed to hear.

Did you ever see the allergist? I saw in another post if yours that your biopsy result said hyperplasia just like mine did. Your lymph tissue is reacting to an irritant.

Edit: also wanted to ask you if your ct scan said anything about your sinuses being swollen. I have noticed that my bot problem flares up when my right nostril is clogged which is often. Supposedly I have a deviated septum and that can cause sinus issues. Everything in there is connected. Also when the doc biopsies my spot my nose and ear unclogged immediately for a awhile.
