Still having lots of difficulty eating by mouth. I just made this and it went down easier than a lot of things have been.
1 box of macaroni and cheese(I used velveeta)
1 can of Cambell's chunky "Sirloin burger with country vegetables"
Cook the macaroni and cheese as directed, then add the can of soup and heat, I also added a can of drained green beans for some extra vegetables, I am sure you could add whatever veggies or beans you wanted. Not gourmet but the taste was not to bad and it is pretty high in calories. I am all about cheap and easy meals right now since most of them go in the trash. It was "wet" enough that it went down fairly easy.

Rosy,

One thing I found that worked great while I was in your stage of finding food that goes down without much effort is a baby food grinder. They are about 10 bucks and found at Walmart and Target.

You can take all solids and grind them up and they come out with just the right texture. Not all liquid or all chunky but just the right texture to go down smoothly. You can also easily add some liquid like mile to the mixture to your liking. don

I have thought about that but I don't think I can.
My tummy is still touch and go for whatever reason, texture is a huge deal, the thought of grinding up normal food makes me slightly nauseous and I am afraid if I was able to get it down it wouldn't stay. Its a mind thing.
One thing I have thought about is baby food, for some reason my brain doesn't find that idea disgusting. Surely the nutrition is good. I may have to take a look at the labels next time I go to the store smile
Do you do shakes or smoothies? If so do you have any good recipes with vegetables?

Here is a list of easy to eat foods which may be helpful. These foods mostly have a smoother texture which make them easier to get down.
Do you do shakes or smoothies? If so do you have any good recipes with vegetables?
I was making lots of protein shakes/drinks; only difference to me was how much liquid and/or ice was in there; same protein powder in there more or less.

I need to be more regular even now about getting protein shake or two down in the morning but admittedly a bit lazy of late.

If you are having difficulty getting things down and to stay down generally means less is better. Packing more concentrated nutrition into the least volume is more desirable.

In that case, adding vegetables and other less caloric dense foods is not so desirable. Plus given your sensitivity to texture would have you wanting to really liquify what you consume. Powerful blenders such as the Vitamix will do the job, lesser units may leave sufficient texture that you may not like.

In any case, just make sure you are consuming enough liquid and calories any way you can get them down.
