The MRI that I have been anticipating and been all itchy about for the last 2 weeks was cancelled Friday morning because the machine was down. At first I felt relief, like I received a "get out of jail free card" for the day. Now I have a reschedule date to July 19th. I just have to just git' er done! In the meantime, I might be spending more time sampling frosty adult summertime beverages! Just kidding! I wish!

That's a bummer! July19th would be too far away for me to reschedule, after getting psyched for any test, but sometimes there's nothing you can do, except have a drink smile and celebrate.

Sorry you are back in the pre-scan waiting mode, Kerri. Hopefully you'll be able to plan some fun summer days with the kids and not have it on your mind all the time.

Interesting that you have MRI with contrast; my 1st scan is scheduled for later July and will be a CT scan with contrast.
Have you any idea as to why one over the other?

Thanks, guys. Yes, waiting is one of the hardest parts.

Nancy, they told me that they felt that an MRI with contrast would give them the "best picture" of my anatomy. I had a couple of CT scans with contrast when I was having trouble with my tonsils and nothing like cancer showed up in the tonsil, when in fact it was there both times. They didn't find it until surgery.

Thanks for your support.

Love in OCF,
Kerri
