Hello my husband is 3 and a half months post treatment for hypopharyngeal T3 N2 following 35 fractions of rt and 5 weekly chemo. His consultant found some abnormalities, he had an MRI scan which indicated another biopsy needed which he is having this Thursday and we will get the results on June 4th. Hypo pharyngeal is one we have been told they really do not like to see and generally the survival rate is lower than most other oral cancers. Does anyone have this cancer my husband was staged t3 n2 in November 2013. I realise I am jumping the gun but on the Macmillan site (British) I can not see anyone who has had it. We have been told if the cancer is still present he will need his larynx and pharnx removed within a few weeks. As this will be so lifechanging and so quickly we need to look into all the options and best treatments available. We are in Dorset in the UK but if I could find about any advanced surgery or treatments in America then I can investigate if it is available here etc, thank you so much.

Hi Julia,
I have sent you a PM.
Wait until you get the biopsy results , only then will you know that indeed cancer is still present.
I think treatment options are pretty universal, wherever you live..
Take care, Tammy

Hopefully it's just inflammation or scar tissue. Three months is early. Good luck.
