Thanks, Mickey.

Let me know what your ENT says on Friday.

Best wishes with your scan. We all know how nerve-racking they are.

Take care,
Kerri

Mickey, please be careful with neosporin! That is for external use only, not for inside your mouth. If you have wounds that are not heeling check with your ENT about wound care specialists. They have all kinds of things that can help.

hey kerri, i am a little over a year out of treatment and i periodically will get sore areas on my tongue/mouth, that go away in a few days. i think it is a combination of dry mouth, along with various other factors (such as food and prolonged irritation from radiation) that will cause my mouth to have these flares. I have noticed that any time i drink any type of alcohol this usually happens also.

Act dry mouth helps me pretty much, but when i am going through really bad dry mouth spells (some weeks are better than others), i will sometimes sleep with an ace bandage or something wrapped around my head to keep my mouth from opening in my sleep. it is weird and unattractive, i know, but give it a shot! it has helped me a lot

Kerri, My ENT said it is a form of Glossitis, and is NOTHING to worry about (not cancer). He said Dry mouth will cause this and it may happen again (it was a lot better today). He gave me another script for his Magic Mouthwash, but I still have some from the surgery and since it is feeling better, will not fill the script as of yet. (i can tell you the ingredients if needed)
Hope your sores are getting better. I think mine were from too spicy foods, I miss them a lot.
Hey to everyone!
Mickey

Thanks, Mickey!
I've used the magic mouthwash before...good point. I will ask for a script on Tuesday when I see my team. I'm glad you're feeling better.

Hugs,
Kerri
