I have been coming to this site for the past 2 years. My husband was diagnosed in Dec., 2001 with base of tongue sq. cell, with lymph node involvement. Two rounds of chemo and max radiation to neck, then neck dissection finished in April 2002. All his check ups have been good. I have continued to read here and it has helped with many questions along the way. About 3 weeks ago we noticed a lump on his right chest and another in the groin area. After a CT scan and biopsy of the chest tumor, we now know he has multiple tumors in his chest; particularly in the hilar region. Has any one else had or know of anyone who had this happen. Last check up was April and all was well??? We see the oncologist at Cleveland Clinic on Friday. Any information you can give would be helpful. We are so sad.

Hello DJS,

I am sorry you and your husband have to go thru this again. I have no experience in the type and location of the tumors you mention. Hopefully someone will post who does. Best of luck!!

God Bless, Danny Boy

Hi DJS,

Wow, something that is always not far from our thoughts....when will it come back and where. Don't have any knowledge to share with you either but want you to know you both are on my prayer list and hope the next round of treatments will kill the beast. Please keep us informed on what you learn. Best wishes - Kris

I find great comfort in knowing that there are others out there that care and understand what only the members of this club can. Please send prayers our way for an encouraging report tomorrow. We live in Orrville, Ohio about 50 miles south of Cleveland. Thanks to all of you.

DJS,

I am currently being treated at MSKCC for a tumor in the Hilar lymph node. I had one removed from my left lung in May and we are doing chemo on this one, it has shrunk. Let me know what happens at the appointment and I'll see what, if anything, I can add. Mine is assumed to be metastases from the original tonsil cancer, but they have not done a biopsy.

Glenn
