I will do another set in 10 weeks. That was the good (great) news. My voice is compromised a lot...you can not hear me (like a whisper) I am convinced the doctors do not know to what extend the scarring will stop and some voice come back. I need to explore options like laser treatment of scar tissue, voice therapy, whatever. All doctors said too early to worry about this and let site continue to heal. It may take a year to know what voice I may or may not have. Anyway I feel blessed the scans were good and you all helped me continue my treatment during my darkest hours. Steve Hurlock

I'm not familiar with scarring, I still have my battle scars myself, but maybe someone else can be more helpful.

Really good news. You need time to heal now, this can take months. I too think it is too early to comment on how your voice will be in the long term. I am pretty sure though that it will get stronger and louder. Be patient. Tammy

At some point you hit the point of no return and have lost usage of the area. Gentle stretching, swallowing exercises can only help if you get a physiotherapist, voice specialist, etc... Involved as long as they know you are still healing they will give you gentle exercises to maintain your function, and eventually improve it. Congrats on the scan!
