also depends on how mad a golfer you are smile

My sense being an extremely poor albeit enthusiastic ex-golfer, is that the PEG is likely to give you a hard time and interfere with your swing. Your abdomen will be sore for a while and I imagine your healthcare professionals will advise against it???

Radiation wise, its early and you might well get away with it.

Welcome to OCF! The golf game will probably need to carry on without you for a while. Im an experienced feeding tube user and know that after you have this put in your abdomen will be sore. I cant imagine trying to swing a golf club while having a feeding tube. Plus when you have the tube, you should not carry anything heavy like the clubs.

In a few months you will be able to get back in the game. Best wishes!

You may not feel the effects of radiation just yet, but some do experience anxiety, tiredness even after the first day, and I agree with the above, that you still may be sore from the peg placement, and twisting, bending, lifting may not be advised.

Good luck with your treatments.

PJD

Why not ask your docs since you will be seeing them this week?
The PEG will hurt whether or not you play golf and you can just open a box of press and seal and wrap it twice around your entire chest, then tape it over the dangling PEG tube to hold everything in place. (what I used to do when swimming before I got the neat little button). But be very sure not to just go out and swing that club without being very very sure the peg is tightly fastened to you or you will pull that sucker right out. It does not take much at all to put the balloon retainer out, just a strong tug. As usual, being contrarian. cool

Well, I don't know anything about golf or PEGs but PJD, I love your spirit. Best of luck in your treatment!
