Hello All,

I'm about two and a half years free of tongue cancer. Yeah! I'm currently seeing my ENT doctor every three months. I recently noticed a lump above my right clavicle. It's a little tender, but nothing too painful. It's been there for maybe two months now. I'm just a tad concerned. I don't have my ENT appointment until October. I just wanted to see if anyone had any idea if this is related to oral cancer or something I should be concerned about. Thanks!

Cancer found on left bottom portion of my tongue on March 9th. Non-smoker and light drinker. Tumor removed March 30th. Stage 1. No chemo. No radiation.

Maybe an after affect of rads and chemo?

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Well, I didn't have rads or chemo. The tumor had clear margins when it was removed and the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes yet....

Thanks for the response!

Since your original cancer was on the left and this lump is on the right it hopefully is not related. I would suggest going to your family doctor. Hope its nothing serious! Good luck!!!

Definitely have it looked at - so glad you didnt have to do rads and chemo. He concern with that though is always - was there something microscopic they didn't pick up on a scan? - better safe than sorry - its been there Lon enough - HPV it checked out.

Keep on one or all of them until you get some answers along with one explanation of what is going on.

Thanks for all the advice! I will make an appointment and get it checked out. CherylD, my tumor was tested for HPV and it came back negative.
