don't know if this belongs at this network, but i just got diagnsed with colon cancer, which is such a chuckle, because my lymph nodes and saliva glands were removed as a precaution. they also want to remove glands in my groin where cancer seems to spread. wish they could remove my 20 yr old from my check book

Yikes! Colon cancer is just as scary as other cancers but thankfully it's usually slow moving and growing and if caught early very treatable. My husband had a similar scare regently, high incidence of colon cancer In his family mom dx'd, and rx'd years ago, a bunch of aunts and uncles as well. He ended up in the hospital with a hemoglobin of 66 two weeks ago from bleeding from hid butt, he's had colonoscopies religiously for years and the last time the dr. Saw him he said he was good for a 5 years. We were freaked because of his family history - turns out it was hemroids. Thank god. Removing leg nodes is not fun as it causes swelling in the limb, but lymphatic massage can help. Good luck, you've kicked it once before you can do it again! Hugs!
