Sad to say my mother passed away last week after about a week in Hospice. My sister and I were with her for the last two weeks of her life and helped care for her in Hospice. I am not sure if it would be of any help on this board to post exactly what happened and how we helped care for her during this time. Please let me know.
Thank you and God Bless you all.

It is a blessing to her that she had her dear daughters with her, and a blessing to you to have the courage to be there and to help.
I don't know how to answer your question, so I will leave to others.
May you find peace and begin to remember the happier times soon.

As for sharing the experience, I can't speak for others, but I am always looking for info on what to expect. When I post, I'm usually not very filtered, and I encourage the same honesty in you should you feel it would help others.
Bless you for thinking of others during this time.

I'm sure it was a great comfort to her to have you and your sister with her, sharing some very special and tender moments together. Anything that you would like to share could help someone else in being able to accept what is ahead for them. It's been two years since I lost a dear friend thru cancer. I was visiting her almost every day during the last few weeks and I will always treasure the time we had. I am comforted now in remembering the happy moments as well as the soothing tears we shed in sharing this last journey with her. So just write whatever you or your sister have experienced and are feeling. It will help you and could help others, too.
