Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 16 | i had an operation on the right side of my cheek recently for a LOW GRADE MEC this was my second op, i have a bump in my gum, the doctor said its just gum tissue and it is, but a week ago at my check up i asked if it would shrink or not, she said gum tissue doesn't just go away tho, but in the last couple of days its shrinked loads, does anyone know if this is something to worry about, sorry of its a stupid question  thanks

Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 17 | Christines right, never hold back from asking and don't be worried about wasting your doctor(s) time by asking them to check anything you are worried about. Thank goodness here in the UK there are no financial constraints on seeing a doctor.

PEG insertion 26th April 2010
Patial glossectomy with flap from arm and left neck dissection 28th April
20 sessions of radiotherapy in June
PEG removal Today - yippee! 19th Nov
