We had to pull over on the highway for him to get out...couldn't breath, shaking...wanted to walk home because I wouldn't turn around and go home. I eventually got him in the car and we finally made it to the hospital. I told the nurses of his anxiety and they said they would get an oncologist to see him straight away. The first thing the oncologist said that there were no 'hot spots', so no active cancers showing. He said he will probably have the lump in his right lymph node forever, but there was no sign of cancer in that either, and the lump was lined with calcium which was a good thing. So after all the anxiety, the news was great. Next appt is late May. The doc said there was a tiny hot spot above his right brow, but it was highly unlikely it was a cancer & that PET scans pick up everything and anything, so could have just been sinus. Will sleep better tonight!!

I did all through treatment. Those scan reports can be frightening.

My husband Ron is 6 year's cancer free and we both still get scared and anxious when he goes for his check ups. I don't think that will ever change. You two should go celebrate this weekend!

Shelley

I saw my psychologist on Wednesday, she said it is because it has been for the last 2 years we have been expecting the worst everytime we go for an appt. Now that it's good news, I don't think it has sunk in with him. Have had all this other crap going on with my health, family in NZ, money & my ex employer, so I'm just in need of a brick wall myself. Even my anti depressants don't seem to be doing anything. After court [with work] - and I have found a solicitor - no win no cost, to represent me when it happens mid year, we are going to go to Tassie for a week...that thought is the only thing keeping me sane at the moment. Rod however appears extremely unwell, has slept all day on the couch, woke for 10 mmins, then went to bed.....bit worried, although it might just be a virus or something.....sometomes I could scream at life.....
