I have a lot of trouble with a piece of jawbone that must have worked it's way loose and if not that, I must be teething. LOL That thing has my right cheek feeling like there is an imbedded knife in my jaw to torture my cheek.I looked in with a mirror and it is peaked like a residue from a Volcanic eruption. Anyone else had this?? It sure let me know I am alive.

Sorry you are having problems Jim. I thought this was supposed to be taken care of. What happened to getting your surgery to get your jaw fixed? Did you get the stomach surgery yet? Gosh you poor thing! You have had so many operations that I cant keep tabs on you.

Ive had tiny slivers of what I think were pieces of teeth poke thru my gums. It is unbelievable the pain those tiny pieces of tooth would cause me. I cant imagine what a piece of jawbone would feel like.

Please take care of yourself and get this taken care of.

I can empathize with you on your jaw pain. Clark had the same stabbing pain in his cheek. We never did get an explanation for it. You have to get the doctor to look at that and do something to give you some relief. I don't know how you do it. And all this and you still have a very positive attitude. You are amazing!!! I hope that your health care team can resolve this for you.

All my best-
Anita

Christine, I see the Surgeon the 31st at UPMC in Pittsburgh. I sure hope he has a cure for this without making me more of a mess. LOL Did they ever find out what your slivers were christine?
Anita I have plenty of pain meds to control most of the pain. Christine have you come up with any new recipes?? I'm too dumb to write mibe down. LOL Sweet dreams ladies.

Jim, you are NOT dumb!!!

The slivers were tiny fragments of a tooth that had been removed. It happened to me several times. Boy does that hurt too! Glad to hear you have a handle on the pain. The 31st isnt that far off. If you are hurting, go see your ENT or oral surgeon to see if they can just pull it out. Hope its not your jawbone and is a tiny tooth fragment.

Im always eating the same old thing. I eat cream of wheat or maple oatmeal everyday. Most days I eat canned peaches, yogurt, chicken orzo soup or sometimes pudding or jello. I drink alot of hot chocolate made with lots of half and half and marshmallow fluff. Thats high in calories and very good on a cold day. The new McDonals maple oatmeal is excellent. I cant eat the fruit with it, but the oatmeal is very good.

I wondered how you were making out and dont know how you manage either. I sure hope your appointment on the 31st brings you some good news. Hope it will be an easy procedure and you will recover quickly. It just doesnt seem to ever end for you. Everybody needs a break once in a while.

We are still on the same foods Christine. I try to make extra lite toast, add it to the cream of wheat or oatmeal, make it watery and mix the toast with lots of butter in and go for it. Have you tried the Banana Oatmeal or the cinnamon roll yet? Both are good. Gotta have hot coffee to wash them down tho. LOL Like a kid with a pacifier with that coffee.
