I


CG to Father, 75 yo with SCC of the mouth; upper maxillectomy and neck diss. performed on 5/23/07. Father also suffered heart attack during surgery and now has CHF. RT complete on 8/28/07. Cancer back 11/27/07. RT and Chemo to start on 12/17. Cancer back 6/17/08. Finally at rest 08/08/08.

Of course you're crying and worried! Who wouldn't be???
At least there's a schedule of tests/consults.
Hey, I worried for 5 years about my dad--but he made 5 years!
And as for myself, well, knowing what I'm dealing with, I just know and accept.
Post all you want/need as it's so therapeutic--no-one can predict the future and outcomes, as all on here know, are different.
In my thoughts Joy and keep us updated on how things go.

mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the submandibular gland, 05/06, left neck dissection, gland and tumor removed, intermediate grade, margins negative, 9 lymph nodes negative, no rad, no chemo,
11/07 surgical biopsy of lymph node left neck, no cancer!
