I haven't been able to eat anything - I'M HUNGRY. Today they had me try clear liquids but when I did I started having the abdominal pains again. When they were doing x-rays on my stomach, they also noticed a spot on my lungs and did a cat scan on my lungs which I haven't heard back the results. Of course, I've decided the cancer has spread over my entire body. Is this possible only one year out of treatment???

You need a good GI doc who can do a colonoscopy all the way to that spot. They look & biopsy. Since you are essentially fasting, prep would be nill. It could be resectioned. I just had a colonoscopy in September. They are trying to do everything short of surgery to get it out, but so far no luck. I don't think I can drink that stuff unless I'm completely doped up all day long.

Biopsy is put off a day now because I am drinking the "go lightly" delicious drink so they can look at what is going on where my small bowel was obstructed. I should be able to finish the gallon by tomorrow and then I will have a colonoscopy and maybe I'll know something about that.
Man, I've been here since Sunday and I don't have any answers, just more findings. Now I'm just hoping they don't find anything else wrong - lol.

Tomorrow morning I have my colonoscopy to look at what the blockage in my small bowel is, which is what I originally came to the hospital for. Should have results from both tomorrow. Hoping I can go home then since I was planning SC Tuesday. Only thing that will stop me is if I need surgery on my bowels.

They biopsied it so I don't know 100% that it is cancer, but the GI doc. asked who my oncologist was with oral cancer so that sounds pretty much like cancer to me. I will be here until Monday when they will decide what kind of surgery to do based on lung biopsy and colon biopsy. Has anyone had their cancer spread all over so fast in one year? My pet scan last March had "activity" only in the head and neck area, nowhere else in my body.

He said it's worse news if it has spread from the neck. I think he meant if it has spread this fast to the lungs and possibly the colon, then it has probably spread throughout my body.
I debated doing the ND and radiation and chemo and now, of course, if it turns out to be this I sure wish I wouldn't have. My husband's cancer did the same thing. He had prostate cancer and it just spread like wildfire through his body. He only lived a few more months.
