Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | There are tons of germs in the mouth and the immune system is typically toast for quite a while post Tx. It's probably an infection of some sort. These things can get out of control very quickly and are nothing to fool around with. They can have lethal consequences.
He should be getting 6 week followups for the next 1 - 1 1/2 years and call the ENT immediately if there are any perceived changes.
