You heal from one surgery and start to feel better and have to go back in for another. It is such a roller coaster physically and emotionally.

Each of us has a burden to bear in this life. Some have heavier burdens then others...harder paths to walk and we can be overwhelmed at times. That is why we have our support networks both in our everyday life and online, to vent and help cope.
What helped me was knowing I had people on OCF that could relate to what I was going through, provide both answers and support...and sincere friendships based on common experiences. Some even gave me hope by showing me a real example of having to walk a tougher road then I, yet still continuing to fight and love life. We are here for you Brandy.
Keep your chin up you.
Eric

I normally am pretty good about everything and laugh a lot. For some reason lately I have been able to cry at the drop of a hat. I haven't been on here as much as I probably should for support. I don't have a lot of questions as I usually have peace about everything going on with the cancer side of things.
I am sure we have all been there as you just start to feel better after one surgery and have to go back for another. That is what I have been dealing with and have a colon resection in Jan as they found 2 large polyps (precancerous) and then a few months later I will be having more on my mouth. Hard to see time for a break when you know part of your future.
Sorry if I seem like I am complaining as I am not. Just venting.

It's tough what you are going through. We are here to listen and hopefully offer some comfort. My thoughts are with you, hoping all goes well with all the surgeries and you won't need to think about them anymore.

I do hope you are feeling better! When my husband was going through months of one surgery after another, it helped him to keep in the loop at work (He loves his job!) and also to watch some comedy! We started watching some funky looking male English comedian who was wearing dresses and heels! Eddie Izzard. He made both of us laugh so hard it almost killed him when he had his tummy tube put in! Now, daily, he watches a clip from YouTube of some standup comedian to start his day!
I know it is easy to fall into the gutter and more than difficult to get out! Try some comedy! Here is one for you!

If anyone has earned the right to complain is us cancer patients...it's OK to vent, if you can't do it here where else could you and have a hope that anyone could relate? Vent away my dear. This site isn't just about getting your questions answered. This site is about finding people that can relate to what you are going through, what you are feeling and getting an encouraging word for someone who's walked a similar path. This site is also about giving back for the help and support received. That's why I continue to read these forums even though I have very few questions anymore.
Mrs V...you are now cool in my book! I have all of Eddie Izzards DVD's, my wife and I are huge fans. We watched his entire library when I was hospitalized. (this was said in the voice of James Mason)

Me and my parents actually went to see Jeff Dunham in person last year. Was a good time. I saw Robin Williams on Jay Leno in Nov 2010. Pretty good. You can find it on YouTube it will be part one. I loved my last job and the people but have not been able to work since April 09. I am working on some things but I don't always have the motivation.

We are here for each other. I love this place, and come here often just to read and a lot of times vent about the constant worry or new worries. You will get through this, and this too shall pass. I have to keep reminding myself of that.
