It weighs heavily on me...the honor of carrying the man who carried me as a child, helped me though all of the difficulties a child experiences, and those that a man experiences as a young man, not quite adult, but more than a child..yet he helped me through them.
I will miss him every single day. He was a fine, honorable and humble man. My world is lessened by his passing, yet imeasurably enriched by his being a part of me.
The Honor I felt this afternoon will never be surpassed. I have lost my Hero: he has passed from our lives, on to a better one. I miss him nonetheless. I always will Godspeed Dad.......I love you Wayne

Husband Robin aged 44 years Dx 8th Dec 2006 poorly differentiated SCC tongue with met to neck T1N2cM0 Surgery and Radiation.Finished TX April 2007 Recurrence June/07 died July 29th/07.

Bob age 57, non smoker,non drinker, ended treatment on 11 Nov 2007 and started back to work on 29 Nov 2007. Veterans Day 2012 the Battle was lowered, folded, Taps was played and the Flag buried as I am know a 5 year survivor. Semper-FI !!!

Donna CG to Mom, dx 4/25/07 with tongue cancer,T3N0,tx began 7/6/07, 31 tx's of IMRT, 8 cycles of Erbitux. Brachytherapy, surgery, left neck dissection and temp trach placed all on 9/17/07, trach removed 10/17/07. ORN of jaw, late effect of radiation symptoms. **lost my beautiful mother on 5/5/11.
