Hi Ed - Great advice you've gotten above! For the sleep problems, my son tried different things - and then settled on sleeping in the recliner and that seemed to work pretty well until he got over the worst of the treatment effects. How good it is that you have your son and daughter to help with your recovery. Things do get better!

malo5, sounds like you had something very similar to what I'm going through. Glad to hear you made it through well. My weight is lower than I'd like, and sleep is difficult, but my neck has responded well to the radiation. I'm done with chemo and have a week of rads left. Then I'll be waiting a month before the cat. Hopefully I'll have good news to report. All the best to everyone, thanks for the support.

I slept semi-reclined with a humidifier pointed near me for about 12 weeks. It might help...

During my radiation treatment I had to sleep sitting up because if I lied down I could not breath at all. My RO then made me take a week off, because the swelling in my throat was so bad It could not even lie down for treatment without struggling to breathe. Yes, sleeping was an issue for me and has been since. Now it is not due to pain, but to dry mouth. Anyway keep fighting. Just remember about 4 weeks after treatments end you will start to feel better. Pray that the treatments worked for you.
