One of our forum members wrote to me regarding the use of "Gelclair", which I am not familiar with....

Has anyone used Gelclair? What is your opinion of this product? If you have used other products, which one do you find to be more effective?

I wanted to send her the link to BIOTENE, since Buzz has been using these products every day since his surgery, and has had excellent results.
However, I cannot find the thread Brian posted regarding BIOTENE'S sample products.

Would someone kindly post that link so that she can see it here?

Thanks! Lois

you can always go to the products section of the main web site (please don't forget about the hundreds of other pages there, so much work continues to go into building them) and you'll find product descriptions and links. As to the Gelclaire products, they are Rx for the most part and they didn't work as well for me and were more of a hassel to get.

I tried the Gelclaire and also found that they didn't work as well as the Biotene products and certainly didn't taste as good.

Agree on the Gelclair, did not work as well as just the salt/baking soda swish.

We got samples of Gelclair from the RO's office, so no money down the drain. I notice these docs have lots of samples of stuff...worth asking for before buying. JMO, Deb

This is helpful info as I am heading into radiation on or about 09-10-07 and have so much to learn....mostly wonder if the pain & suffering of this amt. of rads is going to take me to a quality of life place that I can deal with...not even sure if I am making sense of my questions anymore

Christie, welcome. You are in for a battle, there's no question, but take things one day at a time. You can do this, you can get through it, and we're all here to help; ask questions, vent, whatever you need to do.

Know that the journey you're about to embark on is one that many here have travelled, and very few traveled this road without the same fears as you have. Some fears will prove themselves true, and many others will not. Take what comes in manageable pieces, and you'll do fine
