Also, I tend to stay off the site going through the treatment because i always managed to find the hidden posts that talked about recurrence and negative stuff. I want nothing but positive right now in my life.
Anyway, Monday will be dose 33/33 for radiation. The right side of my neck is pretty raw; I would say it's pretty close to 2 degree burn. Left side is 1 degree. They supposedly did 56 gry to back of throat, 67 gray to right side of neck, and 56 gry to left side of neck. Wed will be my 3rd and last dose of Cisplatin (3/3). I tend to over analyze things so I'm not sure about side effects yet. I feel like everytime I sit down for chem I'm playing a game of Russian Roulette. So far I think I have noticed some intermittent tinitus to the right ear. Also, sometimes I think I have some numbness to my toes. But like I said I could be over analyzing. I did have PEG tube put in 3 weeks ago. I'm so glad i did. So far lost about 28 lbs. Seem to be managing now. I just can't wait for the healing to begin. I've lost most of my voice and have difficulty swallowing between the pain and the thick mucus causing me to gag! Well I just wanted to post status. It's all in GODS hands now!! God Bless!

Its a rough road. If you did this al by yourself then you are a very very strong person. I had very minimal assistance my first time thru it and I struggled so much. Now you can rest and in a short time (usually about 2 or 3 weeks) you will start to feel like yourself again. Right now you probably feel pretty crappy, weak and a sore mouth. You lived thru it and lived to tell about it The treatment is definitely worth it!!!!! Well treatment has been officially over since June 28th. The first week was really rough got real weak and real depressed. Luckily this following weekend I feel better. I'm still not swallowing normal I have to consciously make an effort to swallow. Probably lost about 35 lbs so far I hope I maintain at this point. Don't really have a lot of pain but still taking all food via peg. My goal is to try and get down a watered down ensure today. I pray that everyone else is doing well. I also pray that all this was worth it!!
