I dont have all the information, because I was reading some post on here. But on the News tonight they were talking about Marlboro having a new type of ciggerates and them being even more potent then the ones already out !! As far as the Niccotine and Tar !! I dont even believe in this day and age they would even increase that CRAP !

In the last 6 years nicotine levels in US cigarettes have been increase by 11%. These levels currently are not regulated in the US. As more people try to quit, they make it harder to do so. The only real incentive that has worked so far is making them way expensive by taxing the packs themselves.

What a brilliant marketing strategy!

Get the clientele addicted quicker and supply and demand becomes a non-issue. It becomes a necessity.

I can not recall where I read it, (Do not quote me here), but the filters on cigarettes actually increase the toxicity levels. When the smoke is "filtered" it creates many new gaseous byproducts (Up to 200?)

Non filter cigarettes are actually "safer". Please correct me if this is untrue, or after a $20,000,000.00 government study, it was deemed "inconclusive

I have heard that filters take away some of one problem (tar) and substitute another (other gas byproducts) that may actually be just as bad. When I smoked (in my 20s and part of my 30s) I managed to kid myself into believing I was trying to take care of myself by smoking "light" cigarettes. It is beyond me why tobacco is still even a legal substance when it is so addictive and deadly and I think tobacco company execs that plan ways to deliberately try to get poeple addicted are criminals.
