There are 3 locations in the Philadelphia suburbs--Bala Cynwyd, Malvern, and Trevose. This subject came up when one of the OCF posters had a tough time with the traditional (lying down) MRI because of mucous collecting in his throat. The website is www.UniversityStandUpMRI.comIt is made by Fonar Corporation ( www.Fonar.com). I called this morning to see if I could get a list of locations across the US but because this is Saturday, they only accept messages. I'll try again Monday am. If you want to call yourself the number is 1-888-633-6374. Anita

They said you could have the MRI sitting down or standing up and stressed they would take any doctor's prescription for a regular MRI. Oh well, we will see how I do with my regular tube lay down MRI this Monday (if I don't get snowed out like the last two appointments as they are predicting more snow) good thing we did not waste any time trying to patent this Charm 65 yr Old Frack Stage IV BOT T3N2M0 HPV 16+ 2007:72GY IMRT(40) 8 ERBITUX No PEG 2008:CANCER BACK Salvage Surgery 25GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Apaghia /G button 2012: CANCER BACK -left tonsilar fossa 40GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Passed away 4-29-13

Charm -- I hear those ads too, all the time. It's Washington Open MRI.

April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.

It's not hard to see why the US are leading the way and respected with their Cancer centres, equipment and medical advancement.
