Don't listen to what these docs say about your recovery. Your dry mouth will start off horrendous but over the next 2 years it will slowly improve. Some of us, like me, have great recovery. I would say mine is back around 90+% of normal. Just don'r get frustrated at how long this recovery will take.

So happy the good news from your doctor. That is wonderful. About feeling nervous....not sure that ever goes away. Like Jerry said, it just happens less often. I get butterflies in my stomach still when I go for my follow ups...they just don't flutter as much:)

That's great news, Angelia.
I know you had to push for tests because your drs. didn't take what you said seriously, so I think it will be extra hard for you to dispel nervousness. But basically, I think you know your own body & what seems right. For now, focus on the healing - it's a positive place to put your energies.
Happy Valentine's Day!

LOL, It was horrible day. I did not even get a card form my husband. However, we did say we were not going to do anything for each other today because I can not eat yet. I got him a card anyway. I kind of expected him to get me one too. That is the woman in me. I woke up this morning puking my brains out because I choked on stupid mucous. I can not wait until the mucous goes away.

My husband and I did the same thing since I can't eat. Even so, I got him a card and he at least got me flowers (although the last thing I could use now is more flowers....our house is like a greenhouse from all the get well soon baskets). I woke up this morning choking on mucus too. What a way to say "Happy Valentine's Day" to your loved one. Ha!

It is all good. I am getting to go to a Ladies retreat the first weekend in march. I just hope I feel like. I really do need to get out of this house. I am supposed to go back to work in 2 weeks.
